Christina Rimstad: Designer, Illustrator, Photographer,Writer - Marketing Genius.
Christina’s mother once told her to “Learn as much as you can.” And she has kept true to those words ever since. Delving into the many facets of art and media creation she works in Design using: the Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Dreamweaver. In Illustration she uses: painting-oil, acrylic, and encaustic (wax), printing-lithography, wood-cut, Japanese wood cut, metal, and screen. In Photography using: analog film and digital formats using various cameras such as toy cameras, medium format, 35mm, and Polaroid. She also toils in stain glass-windows and mosaics, book arts and weaving.
Art may be Rimstad’s first passion but her second is Marketing. Experienced in developing and executing local marketing strategies and initiatives from the street team guerrilla tactics to large-scale long-term events coordination, recruiting, hiring and staffing on the go, nothing will stand in her way!
Rimstad created the Minneapolis/St. Paul market for Cornerstone Promotion/The FADER in April 2005 and continues to aid and support the FADER Academic Research Marketing (FARM) team mission. She works with Beyond Marketing on Scion Events and Marketing, Malbon Brothers/ Frank 151, Rapture Enterprise LLC and BFG (Beverage and Food Group). Christina does freelance photography for Village Voice Media’s City Pages, is an active contributor to URB Magazine’s blog reporting and documenting music and lifestyle events in the Twin Cities, Liberator Magazine as a contributing music writer and Black Corners Entertainment.
