1.The beginning process started out by constructing a 16×24 page of paper from a sketch book. Then an outline a side profile of a head was drawn and the process of placing dreams that were documented began. The dreams were placed based on the phrenology maps from the early twentieth century.
2.The next step taken was to outline the illustration with a pen so that it would be picked up by the scanner.
3.Step three was to take apart the pages so that the image could be scanned into Photoshop.
4.After the map was successfully scanned into to Photoshop the image was brought over into Illustrator where the final steps were taken. The image was colored in and the map of the sleep patterns were also created. The map was printed and then the final detailing was added to the piece. Thread was hand stitched on top of the map to match the colors of the different patterns that were documented.
